Pair of Vintage Art Deco Middleton DELPHINE China TEA CUP SET TRIO

A set of two matching vintage tea trio sets consisting of three pieces each (tea cup, saucer and tea plate). Features a hand-painted brown and green colourway in an octagon shape.

In excellent condition for a vintage item, without chips or cracks, just some fading to the hand-applied gilding. Please see pictures.

Made by J.H.Middleton & Co of Delphine Pottery Works, Longton, Staffordshire. They were in business between 1889-1941. Has an art deco stylised backstamp, which indicates the piece was made in the 1930s or possibly 1920s.

Set consists of:

2 x tea cups - 3.25" in diameter, just over 2.5" tall

2 x saucers - 5.5" in diameter

2 x tea plates -  just over 6.5" in diameter
