Traditional late Victorian cake plate in a floral motif with an ornate high relief edging, hand-made with transferware applied. Delicately decorated with gilded rim in a purple colourway. The design is in very very traditional for late Victorian taste, backstamp indicates late 1903 manufacture.
It is in reasonably good condition for its age with faint crazing and a noticeable chip on the rim, as well as some loss to the hand-applied gild around the edges - please check pictures.
Plate is just under 9.25in in diameter
