14-piece Vintage ART DECO EMPIRE Part TEA CUP TRIO SET 1950s
An interesting Vintage Art Deco EMPIRE Part Tea Set with 14 pieces, some dated 1952, some 1953, made by Empire Porcelain Ltd of Stoke on Trent - http://www.thepotteries.org/allpotters/389.htm
The set is overall in fair condition for its age, but it is well used, showing crazing on most pieces and some staining in the sugar bowl and creamer. The hand-applied gilt is faded in places. The sugar bowl has a chip on the outside of the rim. Please inspect pictures.
3x tea cups - 3.25in in diameter and 2.75in tall
3x saucers - 5.5in in diameter
6x tea plates - 6.75in in diameter
1x creamer - 5in from handle to spout, 3in in diameter and 3.75in tall
1x sugar bowl - 4.5in in diameter and 2.5in deep
