Vintage Japanese Suvesco Nautical Sail Boat Sugar Bowl (No Lid)

A vintage handled - although lidless - sugar bowl or pot made in Japan by mid-century Japanese ceramics and eggshell porcelain manufacturers Suvesco. The brand's pieces were specifically tailored for export to the Western market, most notably the UK. 

The piece is delicately decorated with a predominantly blue stylised motif depicting a boat sailing on the waves.

In very good condition for a vintage item, though there is some minor fading to the hand-applied blue, red and silver edging. Please note there is no lid.
