Incense Holders
A vintage Japanese koro - a tripod incense burner - crafted in porcelain, featuring a red artist mark on the base (reads 九谷, meaning 'Kutani'). Made in moriage style out of high-relief enamel detailing depicting a Phoenix (Hō-ō) bird with outstretched wings alongside large peony blooms and foliage. Set against a vivid blue stippled/cobalt ground with gold leaf accents and a glazed dark rim band designed to hold a missing brass or metal incense burner cover/insert.
